Privacy and cookies

This notice covers trident-os.com. It explains what we collect when you visit or contact us, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

What we collect and why

• When you email or call us: your name, email address, phone number, company and what you tell us. We use it to reply, to arrange and run a demo, and to follow up on it. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: answering an enquiry you started.
• When you visit: our host, Google Firebase, keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) to run and protect the site. The page text uses fonts served by Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when it loads them.
• LinkedIn advertising cookie, only if you accept it: see Cookies below.

We don't sell your data, and we don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails and notes for as long as we need them to deal with the enquiry and any work that follows, then delete them. Ask us at any time and we'll delete what we hold, unless we have to keep it by law.

Cookies

The site works without cookies. If we run LinkedIn adverts, we ask before setting LinkedIn's Insight Tag cookie, which tells us which adverts bring people to the site and lets LinkedIn show our adverts to people who visited. It stays off unless you click Accept. Your choice is stored in your browser, not in a cookie.

Who else handles it

Google (website hosting and fonts), Microsoft (our email and Teams, for demos) and, only with your consent, LinkedIn. Some of these may process data outside the UK under the safeguards UK law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to take a copy with you. Email us and we'll reply within one month. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
